Although Kamp K-9's facility had to close due to a new landlord taking over, Sue is currently watching your furry family members at her home in the Applewood Heights area of Mississauga (Tomken/Bloor/Dixie/Dundas area). It is a semi-detached bungalow (one level) and there is a dog run and a fully fenced backyard. I have cozy carpet and a sectional and lots of different sized dog beds for them to choose from (unless you bring your own of course). Lots of walks too, depending on the weather. Until we find a new location, this can be their home away from home.
Kamp K-9 offers fun, energetic play sessions to help quench your dog’s thirst for exercise and play. Open Play Sessions (for dogs of all sizes) take place all day and until 9:30 pm. Please note, a completed application (including vet papers) and terms of service agreement must be on file at Kamp K-9 in order to qualify for participation in play sessions.
Open Play for large and small dogs and service dogs is encouraged so they can mingle and become acquainted with different sizes and shapes of playmates (little dogs think they’re big dogs anyway and some big dogs are big babies and like the smaller-sized buddies as well).
Wonderfully loyal service dogs also deserve a chance to play together while owners/families watch their dogs interact with other service dogs and other people.
We invite wheelchair dogs, sight-assisted, hearing-assisted, epileptic or autism-assisted and fire or police dogs (or any other dog that is doing an amazing job out there as a service to their parent/owner/family).
We ask that you try not to come during breakfast (early a.m.), lunch times (12:30-1:30) or dinner times (6:00-7:00) otherwise your dog may not have many friends to play with at these times.
Our Play Sessions can either be drop-and-run or parent/owner-supervised. If you stay, the dogs aren't the only ones "networking" and enjoying the show. Owners tell us - and we see it with our own dogs - it's fun watching their dog’s personality come to life in the company of other dogs and other people. Fun, fun, fun. We can all use a little play time, can't we?
